Kimberly Calvin
Dear Honey Hollow Families,
I am privileged and honored to serve as the new Principal of Honey Hollow. As I step into this role, I bring with me a profound passion for education and a commitment to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every scholar can thrive.
I am very grateful for the various roles I have had over the 15 years I have spent working in the field of education. I gained a lot of skills and knowledge working as a classroom teacher, Reading Specialist, Instructional Coach and most recently Assistant Principal. I know the value of building positive relationships and creating a culture of belief. Throughout my journey, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of education and the incredible potential within each young mind.
My vision for Honey Hollow is one of excellence, innovation, and collaboration. Together with our dedicated faculty and staff, I aim to foster an environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. Our goal is to equip our scholars with not only academic knowledge but also essential life skills, character traits, and a sense of empathy towards others that will prepare them to be college and career ready..
As we embark on this journey together, communication will be one of my top priorities. I encourage an open-door policy and welcome your ideas, feedback, and involvement in your scholar's education. I invite all families to actively participate in the English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC), School Site Council (SSC), and African American Advisory Council (AAPAC). Together, we can work as a team to ensure the success and happiness of our scholars.
I am honored to be a part of the Honey Hollow family, and I eagerly anticipate a fantastic year of growth and learning.
Here's to an inspiring and fulfilling academic year!
Warm regards,
Kimberly Calvin
